Academics

Curriculums and Programs

The ABEKA Book curriculum is used in grades K4 & K5, and through 3rd grade. The ABEKA Book curriculum is used in grades 4-8 as the foundational curriculum along with other Christian curriculums. The various curriculums offer lively academic programs giving children an enjoyable educational foundation and desire to learn more. ABeka Books have been evaluated by educators and found to be at a least one-year ahead of what is taught in the public school

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are taught to read by using the phonics method, daily Bible stories with memory verses. Students in K4 and K5 begin learning cursive writing, and other subjects include arithmetic, poetry, science, social studies and language. The kindergarten program has been lenghtened to a full day to meet the criteria of the new state laws. K4 & K5 students participate in extra curricular activities throughout the school day, such as art, music and physical education.

Grades 1 through 8

Grades 1 through 8 continue to build upon the foundation set in K4 & K5. Grades 1 and 2 continue to learn phonics to read and cursive writing. All the grades (1 through 8) study the Bible, arithmetic, language arets, history and geography, science and health.

Students have the opportunity to participate in out annual Christmas play. Parts are available for all age groups and include dramatic roles as well as singing parts. Other minor productions enable children to enjoy dramatics, singing and even comedic "on stage" experiences.

What We Believe

THE SCRIPTURES: The Bible is inspired and the only infallible and autoritative Word of God. (2Tim 3:16, 2Peter 1:21)

THE GODHEAD: There is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. ( 2 Cor: 13-14, Duet. 6:4, Isa. 43:10)

MAN - HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION: Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God. Man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ. ( Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)

ETERNAL LIFE AND NEW BIRTH: Man's first step toward salvation is Godly Sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is neccessary to all men, and when fullfilled, produces eternal life.

( John 3:35; 1John 5:12; 2 Cor. 7:10)

WATER BAPTISM: Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christians identication with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in the dispensation and its received subsequently to the new birth. The initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit give utterance may accompany this experience. (Matt. 3:11; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4, 38-39; Acts 19:1-7)

DIVINE HEALING: Healing was purchased for us wholly: body, soul, and spirit. It is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is a privilege of every believer (Isa 53:4-5; matt 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24)
